This is Sweden, a collection founded in 2013 by two refugees siblings, Ana and Pablo Londono. The designers embrace fashion through their creative platform in order to increase awareness to impact activism.
Their Spring/Summer 2019 collection illustrates non-military camouflage, colors such as yellow and blue dominated the collection in representation of the Swedish flag, with the intent to focus on their political views. Overall, it is important to acknowledge there use of hi-tech materials, which they combine in fine detail with handmade linen embroidery.
As shown above, the brand this is Sweden is empowering lives through fashion by their own experience as refugees. One voice can start a movement. Take action, make a statement, have a voice and share it to the world. Social Change starts with us. Until Next Time, RACHEL ULLOA is ON THE GO…
