I want to die with my blue jeans on.

                    -Andy Warhol

I woke up this morning and found myself draped in denim. Flashback, I hear a whistle. Who can forget that epic 1981 Calvin Klein Ad, starring the beautiful and iconic Brooke Shields. Especially when she uttered those famous lines “you want to know what comes between me and my Calvin’s, nothing.” So controversial but so impactful, the start of a new era. Here are some reasons why denim will never go out of style.

Nothing is more alluring to a man than a woman who looks good in her jeans

 -Nina Garcia

TIMELESS: No matter, what generation denim is always in style. From my mother of the 60’s, to Brooke Shields of the 80’s, to now Rachel Ulloa ON THE GO, denim has proven the test of time; denim is forever.

Tailored jackets with jeans is a great look for all ages. Dress up with a heel and pretty shirt, or just wear a smart T-shirt under the jacket.

VERSATILE:  You can express your creativity with denim. From a country Boy, to a bad boy, they know how to pop a collar. From rock roll, country, to urban, denim has the natural ability to appeal to everyone. You can be practical, spontaneous, and sophisticated when wearing denim. Express your voice of style with denim: jeans, skirts, dress, hats, jackets, blazers, overalls, shorts, etc. As you can see, denim gives you the option to combine, mix and match. Denim equals, versatility.

“You Can Be The Chicest Thing In a T-Shirt And Jeans Is Up To You.”

-Karl LagerFeld

THE EVOLUTION OF DENIM: It fascinating how denim has evolved through time. There so many variation of cuts, fits, colors, patterns, to embroidery, but no matter your preference denim is always trendsetting. For example from the 60’s bell bottoms, skinny, classic straight leg, boyfriend, flare, bootcut and trouser jeans, denim has evolved for the better. When in doubt, wear DENIM.

“I have often said that I wished I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed, and nonchalant. They have expression, modestly, sex appeal, simplicity.

– Yves Saint Laurent

COMFORT: The simplicity of denim is endless. When wearing denim, you can express your style elegantly, edgy, sexy, while at the same time feeling comfortable. Now that’s what I’m talking about! Here are some ways I style myself when wearing denim.
