AND BRINGS ETERNAL JOY TO THE SOUL.”

The ocean covers more than 70 percent of the earth’s surface. The sea is endless, shapeless, deep, and so powerful. Behold the wonders of the sea where inspiration arises. My goal for this blog post is to talk about the influence of marine life and contributions to fashion. Fashion lover or not let’s dive into our deep blue seas and observe the beautiful wonders of coral reefs that inspire me to embrace color in my wardrobe. The great Coco Chanel once said “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”

My deep thoughts and inspiration arise from the hidden world. In fact, connecting with our ocean planet is not only meaningful but powerful. Marine life has the ability to impact our well being while also increasing our creativity. For this purpose, my imagination has taken me far and deep under the sea to the beautiful colors of coral reefs; where I experience silence, stillness, and tranquility.

Coral reefs are one of the world’s most colorful and diverse ecosystems. The stunning and fluorescent colors of coral reefs have always been an attraction of mine. During my childhood I occasionally will accompany my mother along to the pet shop. Where my mom will purchase all kinds of fish, plants, and stones for our family aquarium. It was then and there I got to witness the beauty, structure, vibrant colors, and patterns of coral reefs and marine environment. Coral reefs are famous for their beautiful colors. For instance, flamboyant reds, oranges, yellows, blues, and fuchsia. Let’s view this living organism like fish do and the healthier these living organism are the brighter they make our day. At this particular moment I realize that nature is our first artist and plays important role in our society. My obsession with colors can be associated with coral reefs. Looking deeply into the colors of corals affect my thinking, my mood, and influences my fashion sense by the way I color coordinate. Just take look for yourself!

In fact, due to climate change, pollution, over-fishing  and other hazardous threats has put coral reefs endangered. Furthermore, I will leave you with this, awareness begins with knowledge and to obtain knowledge is to learn and think. For this purpose, having knowledge of all endangered species will give us the understanding to make a difference. Until Next Time, Rachel Ulloa is ON THE GO.
